I'm pretty sure I got my copy of this Japanese hardcore slab from Pushead. This was back When he was actively doing his label, and had contacted Devoid Of Faith to do a record. We'd spend time on the phone talking about records and hardcore. He was surprised that I didn't have this one, and said he had numerous copies.
I'd randomly get packages from the dude with cool records, posters, stickers, etc. It was always a great surprise. My buddy Jim who was the singer bassist of DOF, got a DOF/pushead sweater with the DOF pushead art from the guy. This thing was Limited to only 4 made. So amazing...
This is a solid release that came out on Temple Of Love(Fear Of God, Hellbastard, etc). The label was an innovator, and for me right up there with the likes of Slap A Ham, and Off The Disk for putting out extreme, underground hardcore. Enjoy.

  1. Nice one. Would be cool if Pushead would reissue the classic Pusmort label stuff or allow it to be reissued. It's sad that Cleanse The Bacteria, Negative Gain, Septic Death, etc remain out of print. I guess he's too busy designing Nike shoes and Mountain Dew bottles these days.

  8. Dude, I just had a kid two weeks ago, so money and time are things of the past. This blog has been a great way to keep me in new music(new to me) and linked up to the outside world. Thanks!

  12. Hey, I know I'm posting pretty late to this but what the hey. I was a big fan of DOF. I even made a pretty cool, IMO, DOF shirt back when I was in highschool in 98 or so in our school's print shop. I got many offers from dudes wanting it at the Old Barn punk fest in WI, but fuck that, it was one of a kind. I wish I still had it.

Anyway, I was wondering how the split with Seized came about. I just picked up their split with Ire out of a fit of nostalgia and am enjoying it a lot over a pint of Guinness as I write this. It seems they didn't really get the respect they deserved.

Thanks for the great music, none the less. I also think I made annoying comments to you once at a Das Oath show in Minneapolis about Negazione but I was drunk. Sorry. I think I realized later it was you. Okay, I'm out.

hey man, I dont recall that, but i was prolly drunk too.
Cool that you made your own dof shirt...i'd love to have seen it.
Seized actually released a CD on Hater Of God records. I think it has everything they ever did(which was more then you'd think). great band for sure. I can't recall when the record came out... maybe 93 or 94?

    okay man... off to bed.

    thanks Nate

  14. Despite Japanese hardcore has never been of my best friends i have to say that this band is pretty good, I am surprised of the quality of this band, and the music as well is pretty well worked.

  16. I suppose Pushead was also an artist for the skateboard magazine Thrasher during the 80s and early 90s. His recent work includes a limited edition shoe released world wide by Nike SB
