One of the early Finnish bands i can recall hearing early on in my youth. My buddy Louis made me a Finnish tape with their 1984 ep "democracy?" on it. That record is a total punk rager for sure. They didn't do much more than two or three 7"s that I know of. Kind of an obscure band.
When I later saw this ep I grabbed it up. Actually I've grabbed it up twice. Totally dismissed by most elitist punks due to its metal influences, I love this record, and find it to be a refreshing crossover record from the time period. To hell with the haters, this brings me back. Lots of cool soloing mixed with political lyrics and mostly fast drumming. The record almost reminds me of later Suicidal in some strange ways... can't put my finger on it exactly. My favorite sing is diff battlefields, great guitar riffage.
This is the kind of record you can find in used bins for really cheap. I prolly over paid for this my second copy at WFMU record convention for a mere $3 a few years ago. There are prolly three of us out there who care about this one... fuck it. Great lyrics!

  5. Amazing !

It's weird somebody likes this record nowdays, cuz back when it came out it was pretty hated, everybody thought it was TOO metal, and well i guess it is pretty metal compared to the first 2 ep's we did. anyway, i'm glad you guys like it !!!

  8. I got this unintentionally back in the late 80s from a micro-distro, due to a snarky "sorry we're out of the record you and everyone else wants...so here's an unsolicited substitute of something else we've got laying around". I think I got this along with Slam's "Tragedies" 7". I thought the substitution was kind of a dick move. But I thought the record was okay or better. I still remember the choruses, especially "Different Battlefields". I might even still have this...

  9. W.D.M. stood for We Destroy Music, huh? I like it. Me and my friends used to joke that W.D.M. stood for We Don't Mosh. We were stupids kids...

  10. I love this genre because this is music to encourage us to fight for our rights, actually I remember some of these songs when I was a teenager and still I listened because the message is perfect an clear.m10m

  11. It was the most creative and fun band I ever played with, and I know that punks never liked the band after I joined it... But it was a crossover thing for me, hippie at heart as I am. With lyrics that was up to date at the time... and the attitude... we kicked ass... to bad we didn't fit at the time! =)
