One can't help but to compare these dudes to early Slayer. The vox are almost completely dead on most the time, and would even spook Tom Arya. England has never really been known or famous for thrash metal. There really are very few good UK thrash bands from the 80's. Grind, death, crust, stenchcore, now that's another story, the UK was crawling with that shit. This really is Slayer worship, done without the hooks that Slayer is famous for. This stuff is much more straightforward then say Slayer. The production is very raw, andsort of lacks that real metal feel that many metalheads need. Has a crossover sort of feel in the production(not the writing or the music)
I bought this record due to the artwork. Its done by comic book artist Simon Bisley. Primitive compared to his later works, but still cool as hell. Wish I still had the bands releases on vinyl format. This is ripped off of my tape copy. The band released a slew of stuff, and formed in 1983, releasing the 1984 demo a year later. The stuff was godly for the time, and always kept my neck snapping. Unfortunately I purged the vinyl in the early 90's.. I was a dumb ass. Enjoy and comment.

  2. Gracias, esta es una exelente banda de la vieja escuela thrash, y esta entre mis favoritas.
Concuerdo contigo... no viene al caso comparearla con slayer o ese tipo de bandas.

  3. Yes!! I thought you might dig Anihilated - peep my comment on the Onslaught post - as I bought this one for the great cover art as well. I thought it looked like something Nuclear Assault would use.

Speaking of Slayer-ish thrash from England with great cover art (I think theres a section for this stuff in every record store, right??), peep Hydra Vein - "Rather Death Than False Of Faith" - if your not already familiar.

  8. I feel like im the only person in the whole galaxy who thinks Pray For War is the best Virus album music-wise. love that record - so raw and scary. And the cover art is indeed pretty brutal.

Anywho i listed to Anihilated again a few nights ago for the first time in a goood while. I forgot how much of a Devastation/ Anialator feel it has - which I love. that was definiitely the kind of metal i went for at one time in my life. guess it still is for the most part. Word em Up

  14. I hear Anihilated have recently reformed and have re-released their old albums on Marquee Records. Created in Hate is raw but thats how it was back then in the very early days of thrash. Check out their The Ultimate Desecration album, it kicks ass!
